Enviromental Policy
Wood Yew Waste is able to recycle your plasterboard and gypsum products at any one of our three sites in Devon and Cornwall.
For construction, demolition and drylining contractors recycling plasterboard waste means less costs, as we always offer plasterboard recycling at a price below the cost of disposal at landfills.

Plasterboard is only allowed to be disposed of in special designated landfill sites as it comprises 95% gypsum and the major constituents of gypsum are calcium (23%) and sulphate (21%). The sulphate content of gypsum mixed with biodegradable municipal waste in a landfill can break down to form hydrogen sulphide, which has a long term negative impact upon the leachate generated within the landfill and can cause odour problems for people close to landfills.
We sort the plasterboard and process it into a product that can be used by farmers to improve their soil or used as animal bedding.
