Cozy Coop

Cozy Coop is produced in Devon from 100% recycled timber.

The wood is hand-sorted as it arrives at our depot to remove any contaminants. The clean wood is then processed through our wood-chipping equipment and screened to produce Cozy Coop. The recycled wood has a lower moisture content than freshly cut timber (typically 12-15% compared to 50%).

Because Cozy Coop is much drier it greatly reduces the occurrence of moulds, spores and mites, meaning a healthier happier flock. You will notice when you use Cozy Coop that there is less capping, less topping up required and a greatly reduced incidence of hot burn. With Cozy Coop your birds will be warm, dry and more active. When used, the litter makes excellent fertiliser/composting material.
